The doctor is a boardcertified ophthalmologist with over 22 years of experience and more than 25,000 laser vision surgeries performed. He completed his training at the Mayo Clinic, where he was named chief resident in 1981. In 1995, he participated in the original FDA studies that led to the approval of the excimer laser and performed one of the first FDAapproved excimer laser vision corrections in the Pacific Northwest. The surgeon is an adjunct professor at Pacific University College of Optometry, and his practice serves as a regional referral and teaching facility. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the International Society of Refractive Surgery.
